DESCRIPTION

Crispy, cheesy, and effortlessly elegant — this Asparagus Cheese Tart is a savory showstopper perfect for brunch, lunch, or an easy appetizer. Featuring tender Reese Specialty Foods All White Peeled Asparagus Spears, this tart combines the delicate flavor of white asparagus with a flaky puff pastry base and a blanket of melty, mild cheese. Finished with a sprinkle of green onion and a touch of seasoning, every bite is rich, savory, and satisfying.

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Lightly roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Score a ½-inch border around the edges (don’t cut through), and prick the center with a fork. Brush the edges with egg wash.

  3. Bake pastry for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden. If it puffs too much in the center, press it down gently.

  4. Drain and pat dry the Reese asparagus to avoid excess moisture.

  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the par-baked pastry. Arrange asparagus spears on top. Drizzle with olive oil and season with onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add more cheese and green onions.

  6. Return to oven and bake 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.

  7. Garnish with extra green onion. Slice and serve warm.
