Philly Cheesesteak with Reese Original Caramelized Onions

Preparation Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 10 min
Serves 4

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 hoagie rolls or sub rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye)
  • 1/2 cup Reese Original Caramelized Onions
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese (or more, depending on preference)

DIRECTIONS
  1. Prepare the Meat:
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak. Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes until lightly browned.
  2. Add Flavor:
Stir in the minced garlic and Reese Original Caramelized Onions. Then add the Worcestershire sauce and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the mixture is well combined.
  3. Toast the Rolls (Optional):
Slice the hoagie rolls and lightly toast them in the oven or on a griddle for 2–3 minutes until golden.
  4. Assemble the Cheesesteaks:
Divide the beef mixture into 4 portions. Place one portion on the bottom half of each hoagie roll. Top each portion with 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
  5. Melt the Cheese:
Place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  6. Serve:
Top with the other half of the roll. Serve them while still warm and enjoy!
