Nothing says cozy comfort like a big bowl of hearty homemade chili! This recipe is loaded with ground beef, fire-roasted tomatoes, beans, corn, green bell pepper, and a smoky, savory blend of spices like cumin, chili powder, and smoked paprika.
DIRECTIONS
- In a large skillet, sauté the bell peppers in the olive oil and lightly toast the spices
- Next add the ground beef and cook until lightly browned.
- Next add the tomato sauce, fire, roasted tomatoes, sweetcorn, kidney beans and stir to combine * if using, you can add brown sugar at this point
- Then add the Reese Minnesota wild rice, caramelized, caramelized onions, and diced hearts of palm, followed by the water or broth and mix to combine.
- Cover the chili and lower the heat so it’s at a simmer. Cook for 40 to 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. or until the rice is tender.
- Spoon your chili into a serving bowl. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and top with corn chips and sliced green onion.
