Shake Shack Burger with Spinach Artichoke Sauce

INGREDIENTS
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons Mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Frozen Chopped Spinach, thawed & squeezed
  • Reese® Quartered Artichoke Hearts, drained
  • 1 pound Ground Beef, divided into 4 portions
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4-8 slices American Cheese
  • 1 Large Tomato, sliced
  • 4-6 Green Lettuce Leaves
  • 4 Burger Buns, toasted

DESCRIPTION

DIRECTIONS
  1. To make the spinach artichoke sauce combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard in a large bowl. Next, season with salt and black pepper then add the spinach and Reese® Quartered Artichoke Hearts. Mix to combine then refrigerate. 
  2. Split ground beef into 4 big portions, make into balls and place on parchment squares.
  3. Heat a heavy bottom skillet then add a bit of cooking oil. Once the skillet is hot, add the beef, parchment paper side up, then press to smash using a spatula. Cook on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes then flipping the burger patties. It’s best to pan fry these in batches. Once the meat is almost fully cooked through, add cheese and a lid. Turn off the heat and allow the cheese to melt.
  4. To build the burgers, add spinach artichoke sauce to both the bottom and top burger buns that has been toasted, followed by lettuce, the smashed burger patty with the melted cheese, and a slice of tomato. Eat immediately and serve with fresh fries.
