Asian-Inspired Burgers with Hoisin Ketchup

INGREDIENTS

Asian Hamburgers:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onions 
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Ty Ling Hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp each salt, dried basil, garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Reese Original Caramelized Onions, to top

Hoisin Ketchup:

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Ty Ling Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp lime juice
     

Asian Slaw:

  • 4 cups coleslaw
  • 1 cup matchstick carrots
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ty Ling sesame oil

 


DESCRIPTION

Indulge in the bold flavors of an Asian Inspired Burger, where the tangy Hoisin Ketchup meets the culinary finesse of Reese Caramelized Onions. These slow-simmered and double caramelized onions add a touch of sophistication, infusing each bite with deep, rich flavor. Gather with your friends, fire up the grill, and savor the flavor with Reese–because exceptional ingredients are meant to be shared!


DIRECTIONS
1. Add egg to a large bowl and gently whisk. Add all remaining Hamburger Ingredients and mix with your hands just until combined. Form mixture into 4 equal patties roughly the size of your hamburger buns. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
2. Mix together the Hoisin ketchup, set aside.
3. Mix together the slaw ingredients, toss to combine, set aside.
4. Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. If desired, toast buns on the grill too!
5. Assemble your burgers with hoisin ketchup, slaw, and Reese Original Caramelized Onions and enjoy!
